Destiny Ninja : Hyuga
Several days later. i've tried to do whatever i could, i've worked hard helping with the cooking and housework. While everyone was relaxing and drinking tea after lunch, Yoshitsune said in a serious tone of voiceYoshitsune : "the hard-pressed heishi appear to be planning something"
Enya : "in that case, i'll sneak into the Heishi residence and find out"
Yoshitsune : "no, i want you to feel out the situation of Yoshinaka Kiso"
Enya : "Yoshinaka?"
Yoshinaka Kiso is and elder cousin of Yoshitsune. He took up arms ahead of Toshitsune and attacked Kyoto
Yoshitsune : "Yoshinaka appears to be taking credit for having cornered the Heishi and thinks it befitting that
he be the chief general of the genji. I heard he's saying it here and there "
Enya : "yes,.. i heard that, too. Also his high-handed behavior against the people in Kyoto seems to
be obvious"
Yoshitsune : "it seems so, when we are fighting to stop the Heishi's high-handedness"
enya : "gathering information is my specialty. i'll find out what Yoshinaka intends"
Hyuga : "then.. i'll sneak in the Heishi residence and find out their plan"
Hyosuke : "but their residence is heavily guarded, you kno?how're you going to get in?"
Kazemasa : "besides, Noritsune taira is formidable. He called a resourceful general briliant in both the civil
and military arts. He's also a skilled swordsman
Yoshitsune : "Noritsune Taira and Munemori Taira are probably in the residence, Munemori is the younger
brother of tomomori taira, the chief general of the heishi, i haven't heard good things about him.
They say that, compared to the widelyrespected brother tomomori, munemori is a cowardly,
cunning person. but as kazemasa has said, noritsune is a capable man. He wouldn't easily allow
an enemy to get in"
Hyuga : "still, that doesn't mean it can't be done. Yoshitsune, will you let me handle it? i'll do it carefully"
while hanging up the laundry in the yard, Hyuga strolled up
Hyuga : "you look so good when doing the laundry that its hard for me to imagine you're a princess of a
noble family"
Yuki : "huh"
(perhaps this is.. not praise?)
Hyuga : "you probably heard a little while ago? i'm going to sneak into the heishi residence"
Yuki : "yes, do you have some kind of plan, hyuga?"
Hyuga : "of course"
Yuki : "what your plan?"
Hyuga : "first off, you'll sneak into the heishi residence"
Yuki : "M...me?"
Hyuga : "shush!dont raise your voice over every little things"
saying so, Hyuga covered my mouth with his hand
Hyuga :"we'll be in trouble if other people hear this, can you keep quiet and listen to me?"
Yuki : "yes"
(but your face is too close..)
Hyuga : "fine.. first, you'll pass yourself off as a court lady and sneak into the residence, once inside you'll
use a smoke bomb to create a small fire and cause confusion. at that opportunity, i'll sneak into the
residence.. that's the plan"
Yuki : "..."
Hyuga : "don't tell this to anyone, if Yoshitsune finds out, he'll be against it"
Yuki : "yes"
Hyuga :"what that look for? you hate being a nuisance right? isn't this a chance for you to be useful?"
Yuki : "you're right..but will it work?"
Hyuga : "are you complaining about my plan? you're a cheeky kid"
Hyuga gave me a noogie with his fists
Yuki : "that hurts"
Hyuga : "if i stimulate your brain, maybe your memory will return?"
While covering my head, i looked up at Hyuga
Yuki : "i maybe impertinent, but you're mean!"
Hyuga : "you've known that since you first met me, haven't you? anyway, do you understand the gist of the
plan?
Yuki : "yes"
Hyuga : "all right, that's good answer"
This time he stroked my hair gently Hyuga's casual behavior sometimes makes me feel like he's my elder brother. (elder brother..do i have any brothers? so far, i can't remember even my parents)
That night. I had a dream
In the dream, i was screaming with all my might
Yuki : "Father! Mother!!"
Then next moment, ROAR!! i was engulfed in flames bruning fiercely!
Yuki : "huh!!"
i woke up with a start, feeling a stabbing, sharp pain in my head
Hyuga : "hey"
Hyuga peered at my face with concern
Hyuga : "what happened?"
Hyuga took hold of my shoulders
Hyuga : "by any chance, have you recovered your memory?"
Yuki : "no."
While holding my aching head, i was barely able to talk
Yuki : "i had a dream. i was engulfed in flames burning fiercely. it was completely dark I didn't know where i was..."
I began to calm down while talking. My headache also lessened
Hyuga : "i see. That's why you were moaning"
Question :
i was moaning? [+sweet]
because i was really frightened...
Yuki : "i was moaning....?"
Hyuga : "yes. you were also snoring loudly. it was really annoying"
Yuki : "also snoring?"
Hyuga : "i'm joking"
Laughing, Hyuga looked at me
Hyuga : "if you believe people so easily, you'll be deceived and get hurt"
Yuki : "..."
Hyuga : "after all, you're a princess of a noble family You look as if you've never doubted people.
For sure.. you grew up loved by your parents"
( i don't know.. in the dream, i was desperately calling out to my parents. But i can't see my parents What does the dream mean?)
Hyuga : "Does your head hurt?"
Yuki : "yes... alittle"
Hyuga extended his arm and massaged my head with his fingertips
Hyuga : "this pressure point is effective against headaches. It should help a little"
Yuki : "thank you"
Actually, stimulating that pressure point was really effective and the pain instantly went away
Yuki : "it's amazing. that terrible pain i had just a while ago.."
Hyuga : "your turn"
Yuki : "what?"
Hyuga : "it's your turn Now, you massage my shoulders"
Yuki : "of..of course"
I extended my arms and massaged Hyuga's shoulder
Hyuga : "Although you're not good for anything, at least try and give a proper massage"
(He really is mean-mouthed..)
Hyuga : "harder! near the base of the neck...yes, yes. Um, that wasn't bad. i feel much better"
Saying that, Hyuga smiled
Hyuga : "From no, i'll have you give a massage every night"
Yuki : "what..every night?"
Hyuga : "you object?"
the tone of his voice was not kind.. but, hyuga's body was warm. I felt safe and secure by the warmth of a human body
Hyuga : "do you think you can sleep?"
Yuki : "yes, i'm all right now"
Hyuga : "OK.Then, try to sleep without snoring"
Yuki : "i wasn't snoring, was i?"
Hyuga :"no, you were really snoring. And grinding your teeth heard, too"
Hyuga laughed and patted my face
Hyuga : "it's a joke. Now go to sleep"
Yuki : "Good night"
(recently, we've been saying good night to each other before going to bed..) While thinking about that, i slept soundly without dreaming
The day for sneaking into the Heishi residence finally came. As Hyuga planned, i disguised myself as a court lady and successfully sneaked into the Heishi residence from the rear entrance ( it was true.. a great number of court ladies were loitering about. well then, i won't need to worry about being discovered as a fake. Let's see, i was told the kitchen is inside here) I headed out to the hallway as i was told Once i confirmed no one was looking, i threw a few smoke bombs into the kitchen. Smoke began to hiss In an instant, black smoke began to come out!
Court Lady : "Ah!! Fire!!"
There was a rattling of footsteps
Soldier 1 :"hey! everyone on the garden, start putting out the fire!"
Soldier 2 :"yes sir!"
The guards and maids began running around, sending the mansion into utter chaos
??? : "hey"
(!?)
looking up to where the voice came from, i saw Hyuga's face sticking out from the ceiling
Yuki : "Hyuga!! you.. you already snuck your way in?"
Hyuga : "i work quickly. Come with me"
after being pulled up, we began to crawl through the dusty loft
Hyuga : "Munemori's room should be in the southwestern area"
Yuki : "really.. cough"
Hyuga : "stop coughing"
Yuki : "s.sorry"
covering my nose and mouth with my kimono sleeve, i hurriedly followed after Hyuga
Hyuga : "hurry up, you"
Yuki : "you can keep yelling, but i'm no ninja..."
Hyuga : "no excuses, dummy..."
(Ouch! that's little harsh...)
Hyuga : "okay, this is Munemori's room
Hyuga stared into the room from a crack in the ceiling
Hyuga : "we're in luck He is talking to Noritsune right now"
Munemori : "sigh. all this uproar from a small fire? this is simple proof that the maids are slacking.
you think so, Noritsune?"
Noritsune : "i do. Make sure to tell them and make it particularly clear"

Hyuga : "!?"
Noticing what was about to happen, Hyuga hastily covered my mouth
Noritsune : "...?"
Munemori : "what's wrong?"
Noritsune : "did you just hear something in the loft?"
Munemori : "no, i didn't.
Thud
Drawing his katana, Noritsune rose to his feet and began to stab at the ceiling. The ceiling is breaking! Before we could move, the ceiling gave in and we tumbled into the room
Hyuga : "dammit.."
Munemori : "Invaders! Get them!"
With blazing speed, Hyuga began launching shurikens at the two of them
Plink! Plink!
Noritsune swung his katana desperately protection himself and Munemori
Noritsune : "you..how did you get in here!?"
Munemori : "that girl..."
(What!?)
Munemori stared with wide eyes and pointed in my direction
Munemori : "you..! you were supposed to have been killed with your parents!"
Yuki : "huh!?"
Hyuga : "let's go!"
The next instant Hyuga grabbed me with one of his arm and leaped out of the window. Holding me tight, Hyuga dodged the guards arrows as he leapt like the wind throughtout the mansion
Within moments, we found ourselves in the mountains
Hyuga : "we should be fine if we're here, right?"
I sat on the ground, still in a state of shock
Hyuga : "you don't look fine"
*Munemori : "you..! you were supposed to have been killed with your parents!"
Munemoris's words lingered in my head. (My parents.. the father and mother that raised me..). Hyuga crouched and placed a hand on my shoulder
Hyuga : "it seems like your parents were murdered by the Taira clan"
Yuki : "..."
Hyuga : "Munemori was completely shocked when he saw you. There's no way it was a mistakes"
(having lost my memory, i cannot even recall the faces of my parents..and in spite of that, i won't even be able to meet them again? does this mean i have no home to go back to?) While i was deep in thought, Hyuga put both his arms around me and held me tight
Hyuga : "there's nothing i could say now that would truly console you, right? so i won't say anything. won't
say anything and i won't ask anything. just let your tears flow if they must.."
'just let your tears flow' almost as if he had cast a spell. i became filled with inspiration. Before i realized it, my head was buried in his chest and i was weeping
Yuki : "sob..sob.."
Hyuga gently caressed my back as i wept. He was as caring as i'd imagine an older brother would be. After crying my heart out. I looked him right in the eyes
Hyuga : "this is the first time that you cried in front of me"
Yuki : "i'm okay now"
Hyuga : "there's no need for you to overdo it"
Yuki : "..."
Hyuga : "a dummy of a kid like you can't be asked to do anything. so don't worry about acting like a kid"
saying that, he wiped away the tears from my cheek. (in this confused state of despair, i really couldn't think of anything. Anxious and scared, i didn't really know what to do, but..) as i looked at him, i realized something within the depths of my hearts. (i'm glad Hyuga with me..)
Yoshitsune : "..hmm"
Yoshitsune's gave a short response to Hyuga's report
Hyuga : "i'm sorry. i kept the fact that Yuki infiltrated the mansion as a maid a secret"
Yoshitsune : "hmm.. next time make sure to tell me. as you made it back safetly, there isn't really anything i
can blame you for. However,, is it really true that Yuki's parents were murdered by Munemori
Taira?"
Hyuga : "from the look on his face, i believe it must be true. it is more likely that Munemori ordered
someone to do it"
Yoshitsune : "is that so.."
Yoshitsune stretched out his hand and grasped mine firmly
Yoshitsune : "yuki. I suspect that you lost memory when your parents were murdered"
Yuki : "..."
Yoshitsune : "the shock of that moment was likely too much. Your memory may never return. Either way..
whether or not your memory returns you can still stay here. Think of this as your home"
Holding back tears, i bowed my head deeply
Yuki : "thank you so much"
Enya : "However.. Yuki, who are you really?"
Yoshitsune : "if the Taira clans wants you dead, it is very possibly you are a royal ally of the Minamoto's.
There are, though, many nobles, unable to withstand the tyranny of the Taira clan, many of the
noble families have escaped the capital"
(meaning there is no easy way to figure out my identity)
Yoshitsune : "hyuga, make sure to protect yuki with your life
Hyuga : "yes sir"
The next day, after making breakfast and doing the dishes, i was watering the plants in the garden
kazemasa : "you sure are working hard"
(!?)
i jumped in surprise as i heard Hano's voice
Yuki : "uh, yes. Working helps me keep my mind off of things"
Kazemasa : "..."
there was a long silence as we stared at each other
Yuki : "..um?"
Kazemasa : "Nothing.. i'm sorry"
Yuki : "huh?"
Kazemasa : "i said terrible things to you despite all the things you have been through"
Yuki : "..."
Kazemasa : "everyone around me says that i am heartless that i don't understand other's feelings. that i'm a
cruel man..what i said must have hurt you"
Yuki : "hanzo"
I looked directly at him and began to speak
Yuki : "if you were really heartless, you wouldn't be apologizing to me"
Kazemasa : "..."
Yuki : "ah, forgive me. I spoke too impudently..."
after another long silence, Hanzo muttered with a sigh,
Kazemasa : "i was born as the heir to the throne of the Village of the Wind, when i was young, as i knew i
was in the position to assume leadership one day, i only thought of what was best for the
village.. i was raised as my grandfather said. i always went along with how my father thought.
that is, that profit is the top priority, but then one day i realized something. I had become
emotionally separate from everyone else in the village.. why am i talking about this?"
As he said that, Hanzo scratched the top of his head
Kazemasa : "sheesh.."

as soon as the words left my lips my face turned red
Yuki : "i'm sorry...i said too much again"
Kazemasa : "you..."
Yuki : "yes?"
kazemasa : "do..do you like flowers?"
Yuki : "flowers?"
Kazemasa ; "well...don't most women like flowers?"
(Hanzo's face was turning red again...)
yuki : "yes, i do like flowers!"
Kazemasa : "is that so.. there are many flowers that bloom in my village that are never seen here in the
capital, when the next messenger comes i will make sure they bring some"
Yuki : "thank yoiu very much, i cannot wait to see them"
Enya : "That is why you have no luck with women"
(huh? Enya?!)
Enya : "you know, when giving something to a women, you do it just suddenly to surprise them. you'll \ never win a woman's heart if you keep doing in your way"
Kazemasa : "i...i wasn't...that isn't why i said that.."
Enya : "are you telling me you weren't trying to seduce her?"
Kazemasa : "don't be ridiculous! i'm not like you!!"
Hanzo stomped off in a fit of rage
Yuki : looks like he got angry"
Enya ; "i did that to chase him away"
Yuki : "what?"
Enya : "okay, let's go"
Suddenly, Enya picked me up and carried me on his shoulder
Yuki : "let's go?wh..where are we going!?"
Enya : "to bed, of course"
Yuki : "bed? it's the middle of the afternoon!!"
Enya : "still a silly young girl, aren't you?..there's only one thing a man and woman do in bed"
Saying that, Enya looked me right in the eyes and grinned
Enya : "i'm going to teach you how ninjas make love"
